Privacy Policy

I'm a solo handyman in Colorado Springs. I collect what I need to quote your job, do the work, and get paid. I don't sell your information and I don't hand my customer records to advertisers. The one piece of tracking on this site is the Meta advertising pixel, which tells me whether my Facebook and Instagram ads are working — I explain exactly what it does below.

Here's exactly what that looks like.

What I collect

When you get in touch. If you call, text, email, or send a quote request through my request form (hosted by Jobber, not on my site), I get your name, phone number, email address, the address where the work would happen, and whatever you tell me about the job. If you text me photos of the problem, I have those too.

When I do the work. Quotes, invoices, job notes, materials used, before-and-after photos, and your payment record. Card payments run through Jobber's payment processing, which uses Stripe. I don't store card or bank numbers.

When you visit my website. Not much, but not nothing. I use the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising pixel on this site to see which pages people visit after clicking one of my ads, so I know whether the ad worked. It doesn't collect your name or contact information — there are no forms on the site itself, and my quote request form is hosted by Jobber on its own site, where the pixel doesn't run. It also doesn't run on this page — I'm not going to track you while you're reading about tracking. I don't sell this data or share it with anyone outside Meta's own systems. You can opt out of ad tracking generally through your browser or device privacy settings, and in your Meta account settings if you have one. Apart from the pixel: my host, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security, and may set a security cookie to block bots. My contact page embeds a Google map of my service area; when that map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, the same as on any site with a map.

Phone calls and texts. My business phone service keeps a record of calls, texts, and voicemails, and it can generate written transcripts of calls and voicemails so I can go back and check what a customer asked for. I use those to get job details right. Nothing else.

Where your information lives

I run the business on ordinary small-business software. These companies hold your information on my behalf and are bound by their own privacy terms:

Beyond those, your information only goes somewhere else in a few specific situations:

• A job requires it. Ordering a specific part, or bringing in a licensed electrician or plumber for work outside my scope. I'll tell you before that happens.
• An unpaid invoice goes to collections or to small claims court.
• I have to report a claim to my liability insurance carrier.
• I'm legally required to hand something over, like a subpoena or a court order.
• I sell the business someday, in which case client records transfer with it.

What I don't do

• I don't sell your personal information.
• I don't hand my customer records — names, phone numbers, addresses, job notes — to advertisers or anyone else for marketing.
• I don't run general web analytics. The Meta advertising pixel described above is the only tracking on this site, and it's there to measure my own ads.
• I don't send bulk marketing texts unless you separately opted in.

Texts and email

By calling, texting, or requesting a quote, you may get appointment and quote-related messages from me. Message and data rates may apply.

Marketing and promotional texts are separate. I only send those if you specifically opt in, and you can stop them any time. Reply STOP, or just tell me however you want to say it, in a text, a call, or an email. I'll process it as quickly as I can and within 10 business days at the outside. Stopping marketing texts doesn't stop me from texting you about a job you've actually scheduled. If you want me to stop texting you entirely, say that and I will.

Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link, and you can also just reply and ask.

Photos of your job

I take before-and-after photos of my work and sometimes use them on my website, my Google Business Profile, or social media.

Here's how I handle that:

• I don't post your name, your address, or your contact information alongside a photo.
• I strip location data out of photos before posting them.
• I don't post interior shots, anything showing your belongings or security setup, or any photo with a person recognizable in it, without asking you first.
• Exterior work is exterior work. A photo of a deck or a gutter run is a photo of your house, and I can't pretend otherwise. If that's not something you want online, tell me and I'll leave your job out entirely.

That last one takes one sentence from you, no explanation needed, and it won't change anything about the work or the price.

How long I keep things

• Job records, invoices, and payment records: 7 years. That covers tax records and the window during which a workmanship question could still come up on a job I did.
• Texts, call records, and transcripts: 3 years.
• Quote requests that never became a job: deleted after 12 months.
• Email: kept as long as it's useful for reference, then deleted.

When I no longer need information that identifies you, I destroy it or delete it.

Your choices

You can ask me at any time to:

• Tell you what information I have about you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete your information
• Stop texting or emailing you about anything other than a scheduled job
• Leave your job photos out of any marketing

Email or call me and I'll take care of it as fast as I can, and no later than 30 days.

I can't delete everything in every case. Invoices, payment records, and tax documents have to stay on file for their retention period even if you ask me to remove the rest. I'll delete what I'm free to delete and tell you plainly what I kept and why.

On Colorado law. The Colorado Privacy Act applies to businesses handling data on 100,000 or more people a year, or 25,000 or more where the business makes money selling that data. I'm not close to either and don't sell data at all, so the CPA doesn't formally apply to me. I'm offering the choices above regardless.

Security

Your information sits inside established business platforms that handle their own security, encryption, and backups. My accounts use strong passwords and two-factor authentication, and I keep the number of places your information lives as small as I can.

No system is perfect and I won't promise you something I can't guarantee. If your information is ever exposed in a breach, I'll notify you within 30 days of confirming it, as Colorado law requires.

Children

My business isn't directed at children and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Links to other sites

My site links out to my quote request form, my client login, and my social media pages. Once you're on one of those, their privacy policy applies, not mine.

Changes to this policy

If I change how I handle your information, I'll update this page and change the effective date at the top. If it's a significant change, I'll say so here rather than quietly editing.

August 24, 2026 — significant change. I added the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising pixel to this site so I can tell whether my ads are working. Before this date the site ran no tracking at all. What the pixel does is described under “When you visit my website” above, and Meta is now listed in the table of companies that hold information on my behalf.
